The farm becomes, in this sense, a "great outdoor laboratory" where you can combine learning the theoretical to the practical (Confucius said: "If I hear I forget, if I remember where I learned" ), directing the children to a reality, not agricultural, which contains a great asset not only production, but also cultural, social, food and traditions and that, comparing the experience of the farmer with the curiosity of the students, creating a stimulating interaction.
know the information to agricultural, animal life, crafts and applied techniques for the production of foods of Sicily, means: enhance the relationship between town and country, bringing students to the cultural, historical, environmental and production in rural areas, deepen the bond between the environment, land, food, health, stress the importance of respect environment, to discover the rural environment and agricultural activities, and strengthen the relationship between agriculture and the school.
We believe, in conclusion, that to know the local area, an example of pristine natural heritage, is a great way to encourage ethical and environmentally friendly behavior among young people who may have a positive impact on reducing the causes of environmental pollution. "
