2009 positive for the Museum of Ceramics in Caltagirone that in a single year has seen an increase of 25% of its visitors. But the moment seems happy not having to esaurire troppo in fretta. "
Intanto, forti anche del successo ottenuto finora, la direzione del museo ha deciso di prorog are up to the March 7 show where the lamps, along with Roman pottery of the second century BC and the ancient anthropomorphic lamps of the '500 and '600, were exposed pieces of Mario Iudici but ceramist living inspiration, direct student of an illustrious family of cannatari calatini.
the real exploits of visitors is still recorded in April, during the "Week an of Culture", but also in July for the iconographic exhibition at St. James. "We are pleased with the success of the overall public recorded in 2009 - said Salvatore Scuto - which is not accidental but springs from careful planning and, more generally, to presence of tourists in town. "The exhibition will be open on the lamps every day, including holidays, from 9 to 18 until Sunday, March 7.

The Great Game - forms of art in Italy 1947-1989

"The Great Game - forms of art in Italy. 1947-1989 "is the title of the exhibition organized by: the City of Liss, with its Museum of Contemporary Art, the City of Bergamo with GAMeC - Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art and the City of Milan - Culture, with its facilities in via della Rotonda Besana, closely flanked by the Culture Department of the Lombardy Region. The project's design and care of the exhibits are of Louis Cavadini, Bruno Cora and Giacinto Di Pietrantonio.
The exhibition aims to describe and interpret four decades of Italian history. Having art the focal point, however, by entering the artistic expressions in the cultural, social, economic decades have proved crucial for Italy: the ones from 1947 to 1989, after the war to the fall of the Berlin Wall. Those were the years of reconstruction after a war between the most devastating, but also of the celebrated "Italian miracle", the years of protest and terrorism, the complex years the Cold War. Years, however, also essential to understand what is Italy today's economy, politics and, in its way, even in art.
For the first time in an organic way a major exhibition seeks to take stock of magma at the time, heard, and live like few others, among other things, trying to see how during those forty years, the art has influenced society.
The exhibition consists of three exhibition spaces on the second time sequence that assigns the Museum of Contemporary Art Liss works of the immediate postwar years until 1958, the Rotonda di via Besana in Milan the works of the period 1959-1972 e alla GAMeC di Bergamo quelle degli anni più recenti, dal 1973 al 1989.
Si annuncia intanto che una formula compendiaria della mostra si terrà a partire dal 3 luglio fino al 26 settembre 2010 presso la sede del Museo d'Arte della città di Lugano.
